Busted And Back On Track. Day 17 of 365
[This post first appeared on “Riding the Waves”, my blog on Chicago Tribune’s ChicagoNow]
So, I'd said that I'd blog every day for a year, but already the math isn't adding up.
This little experiment began on my 50th birthday (April 8th), which means today (April 30th) should be my 23rd post. However, my last published post was the 16th in this series, meaning only one thing: I've fallen behind.
Congrats. I'm busted. You are now reading my official POST OF SHAME.
I wish I had a really good excuse. To be honest, I hadn't realized I'd let that many days slip.
I've now written 17 posts (including this one) in 23 days, -- that's a "daily post rate" of 73%.
Granted, I'm still just getting started on this little adventure, though that's no excuse. My goal is to publish daily posts, even if it means spending less time on each piece.
So here's to redirection ... and to figuring out how to do this while making it interesting for both of us ... and to the discipline it takes to keep going.
And seriously, thanks for reading.
