Hello, Dear Readers,
I’m typing this from a hotel room in Tucson where I’m having the first true sleepover with the sister I discovered one year ago. She’s sleeping (snoring) in the bed next to me, and I’m so excited that I can’t sleep. ❤️
We’ve come to Arizona for the DNA Surprise Retreat, an event that connects individuals who’ve had … yep .,, a DNA surprise. We definitely rock that requirement. It’ll be an emotionally intense experience, and I’m so grateful we get to do it together.
As I drift off, I think of you all…and how much I can’t wait to share with you about so many things. I’ve been quiet on Substack lately, but only because big things are a-brewin. I’ll post an update soon. I can’t wait to fill you in.
This post is riddled with typos and I’m not even going back to fix them. I hope you’ll kindly tolerate the mess.
Before I sign off, I need to mention how honored I am to host the Write to Heal Retreat next week in Carefree, Arizona. It’s been a labor of love pulling this event together, and when I think of my team — Angie, Emma, Cathy, Mar, Lisa, Gina, and Eric — I’m speechless. They are the definition of compassion, wisdom, enthusiasm, and support.
Signing off for now, and actively forcing myself not to fret about making this post “sing”. It’s disjointed and messy and imperfect — just like me so much of the time. Welcome to my authentic life. Lol
And, to all my new subscribers, thanks for being here, and WELCOME! We have such an awesome community, and I can’t wait to get to know YOU!
Sincerely,
Christine
PS Everyone: please (make my day and) feel free to introduce yourselves in the comments below. Let us know how imperfect you are, too!
Exhausted Gratitude
It sings!
How exciting for you and your sister and for the upcoming retreat.
How am I imperfect, let me count the ways☺️One such way is I can't ever nail a sleeping routine that is even close to normal.
Congrats on finding a sister! What a blessing. Enjoy.
