This is one of my favorite offerings—a space to slow down, breathe deeply, and write what needs to be written. We’re not here to polish essays or chase perfection. We’re here to feel. To release. To listen. To write.
Is This Workshop For Me?
Whether you’re navigating change, holding tension in your body, grieving, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself—this space is for you.
Maybe you’re working on (or considering writing) a memoir…or a personal essay…or a vulnerable Substack post. Maybe you’re feeling stuck…or unclear about your writing path. Maybe you’re tired of carrying around some tough, uncomfortable emotions.
What to expect during the session:
A brief, grounding welcome
A short, powerful primer on the surprising ways stress and grief can inform our lives and impede/interrupt our writing flow.
Gentle writing prompts designed to help process difficult emotions
Quiet, spacious writing time
No obligation to share, but plenty of time for Q&A
A restorative close
This workshop is rooted in research on the science of expressive writing and its proven benefits for physical, emotional, and interpersonal health. But more than anything, it’s a warm, human gathering delivered online. You don’t need to be a writer. You just need to show up.
Let this be your reset.
A writing retreat without the plane ticket. A moment of stillness in a loud world. A gift to your future self.
See you on May 30,
Christine

Feedback from Past Attendees of this Workshop
“Thank you so much. I greatly appreciate you, your workshops, resources and writings. This was exactly what I needed. Thank you for being a great asset for us. This is a good start for myself and for others. Self healing is essential. The workshop you provided is a necessity for me in 2025.”
“I found a way to understand and release some very trapped feelings that were taking a mental and physical toll. As a writer, it would seem natural that I would have considered doing this, but I hadn't, for whatever reason. The workshop gave me the framework, tools, and maybe permission to let some stuff go, and it's been amazing.”
“Meeting you today and learning from you in your workshop feels serendipitous; I'd go as far as saying it feels like it was meant to be. Thank you so much for offering such a meaningful workshop and for being vulnerable yourself in teaching expressive writing. The method resonated deeply with me and I look forward to using it going forward […] It was hard, but also validating, to hear you read your expressive writing piece […]. It was healing in itself to hear your piece; it was evident that you have grown (healed?) into someone who knows herself and her values well, and respects her boundaries. I know it is a tough road to walk and get to the other side of (if we ever do).”
“Lots of useful information and anyone can do expressive writing.”
“I believe her Workshop can help others who are internally suffering.”
“Christine is a wise and caring instructor. She creates a truly warm space while also imparting and sharing her knowledge and experience as a gifted writer.”
“Everything was helpful. I can relate to Christine, and her workshop has inspired me to take action. I've been struggling my whole life. Healing through writing is definitely what I need. I've been struggling with CPTSD, major grief and loss, traumatic brain injury, partial memory loss, and the after effects of COVID. This workshop was very beneficial.”
“I appreciated the Christine’s encouragement, lack of pressure and warm presence.”
“Enlightening and beneficial.”
“Very beneficial to myself and to society and community.”
“A great tool for also addressing writers block or for anyone struggling to get started with their writing.”
“This tool is one I can utilize both for personal development and in my writing.”
“This tool removes the pressure around perfectionism and structure and, instead, encourages curiosity about your [emotionally challenging] subject [matter].”
