“I have two children and numerous friends who are part of the LGBTQ+ community; I grew up in the South and have witnessed the cost of racial discrimination; I have been working with immigrants for 30 years; I come from a long line of social justice warriors; I have been a feminist since I was three years old and saw women on TV burning their bras for equal rights (oh how I wished I had a bra to burn back then!); I believe in an individual's right to the healthcare options that are best for them; and I believe in our society's ability to grow and change in positive ways for all!”
