FAQs
Q: What is Expressive Writing?
A: Developed by Dr. James Pennebaker, expressive writing is a science-backed practice proven to improve physical, emotional, and interpersonal health. The writing is focused in short, 15-20 minute sprints and zeroes in on difficult, challenging, overwhelming aspects of one’s life. By writing freely about difficult times otherwise kept buried inside, we lighten our emotional load and experience increased physical and relational health. Check out this article in Psychology Today for more information.
