I loved this piece. I had a great grandma Tiny who had a tiny apartment and unfortunately passed when I was 3000 miles away at 24 years of age. Before my mother recently died I read to her some of her maternal grandmother's cards to me in the few years before she died. My mom said, "She revealed more to you than I ever remember her revealing herself at all during our life together." TIny loved it when I would come to see her. When I was 20 I got into a big auto accident after I left her place thinking I might never see her again. But I did.

My mom loved me to read my writing to her. She would always tell me how I described things that everyone feels but few people talk about. I've never thought about speaking my work out loud, but mom and others have told me when I read my work, it really comes alive. Thank you for writing this piece. Really loved it!

Thank you for sharing those memories. It's eerie how similar some of our experiences have been. And, fun fact: a lot of people call me Tiny Wolf (because I'm 5'0" tall)! Thanks so much for reading and for offering a glimpse of your past. I love knowing you connected with your family in such meaningful ways through writing.

Thank you and I look forward to reading more of your work, and perhaps hearing it some day in person.
