Publishing attorney Joe Perry of Perry Literary counsels authors, editors, agents, publishers, and other creatives in the book and magazine publishing industries. Joe, who’s also a literary agent, understands the importance of negotiating and securing various rights on behalf of his authors. He believes in tirelessly advocating for his authors and working collaboratively with them throughout the editorial and publication process to better hone their crafts and better position their books.
As an attorney, Joe counsels clients in the publishing industry, where among other things, he drafts, reviews, and negotiates various publishing agreements and conducts prepublication review of manuscripts. As an agent, he represents bestselling cookbook authors, athletes, musicians, journalists, influencers, academics, and more.

No. It’s for all writers, no matter what your writing level or experience. We all start somewhere, and we all need to understand the publishing landscape. In this webinar, you’ll find established authors and brand new writers alike. We all belong here.
Do I have to keep my camera on?
No! Join us with your camera on or off.
I have a specific legal question. Can I ask it during the webinar?
We’ll save time at the end for a brief Q&A. If you can’t get your question addressed by the end of the webinar, Joe will suggest the best way to follow up.
Do I have to stay for the whole webinar?
