SO EXCITING! Congratulations. You did it. Despite doubts and resistance you kept plodding and now the book is real. All that negative stuff is natural and it will keep coming up. But just keep moving forwards like you always do. And savour all the great moments. The best one is when you first get to see and handle the book. Then it's really real! And do post a picture of that moment. Well done x
Wow right back at ya! Thanks so much for the shoutout! I met several wonderful women at that Wesley workshop, you among them. At least three of us went on to publish and you did so much as a reporter too. I’m so impressed with your energy, honesty, and writing!
So excited for you. I will absolutely purchase a signed copy. It's a marathon and the published book is the medal. Great accomplishment and worth the pain....
Congratulations! That is so wonderful, exciting, exhilarating, and, based on my own experience, comes with a sense of tremendous relief! You did it! I have felt the exact same way as you describe: whenever I finished a documentary. When I finished my book. "How the heck did I do that." Baby steps. Timelines. Promises to oneself. A combination of the "big picture," and zeroing in on the details that make it happen. It's not an easy process, and it takes faith in yourself that you WILL finish! You just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and keep your eyes on the prize. As Ann Lamott would say, "Bird by bird!" Whoopee! Good for you!
WOW! Thanks, Linda! I remember when we first met at the Wesley Writers' Workshop, and you were still leafing through boxes and trying to make sense of so much material. I've never forgotten that you DID IT. I know that I carried that inspiration with me as I wrote my own book, so I THANK YOU! Congrats! So exciting!
Thank you. Why do exciting things have to feel so nerve wracking?!?!?
I heard that excitement and nervousness light up the same way in the brain.
Congratulations! Hang in there! 💪👏🏼🧡🔆
Thanks, Jan! Trying so hard! 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
Ah, the moments we “feel growth happening...” Yes. Juicy. I’m grateful for having read about your book’s gestation, and look forward to its launch.
Thanks, Michelle. Juicy’s the perfect word. I’m gonna to try to use that one more often.
Looking forward to getting a copy Christine!
Thank you very much, Carol! Can’t wait for you to check it out!
